60 chevy door window track install help

I have to install the window tracking felt and channel on my 60 when it comes out of the shop. It has the metal trim type windows and uses the corrugated channel on the door. has anyone replaced these before. It looks really hard to get at. The old rails just fell off. Any tip or hints will help'.
Thanks

Re: 60 chevy door window track install help

I have to do the same thing on my 63. I have one glass that is delaminating and the venders show the same glass with or with out metal frame. I wonder if we can just remove the metal frames and replace the door channels with the non framed glass type. It is easy to remove and install.

Re: 60 chevy door window track install help

I've sent you each a PM.

Also the channels that go in the door are different depending on if you have the metal frame or not. The gap in the channel matches the width of the window, so there's one size channel for each.

If they say it's the same glass either way, it should work fine just leaving the metal frame off, but you'll need the channel designed for that application.
