I'm mounting it with the brackets that would be used as if it were in a 2006 chevy truck

Re: started a 5.3l/4l60e swap this weekend
I had a Whipple on an 03 a few years back that I took off and sold when I sold the truck. Dumb, I wish I had kept it. I think it would look good under the hood of my 85. Now you have me cruizing CL and feebay to see what's available!!
Looking forward to seeing this one run!

Re: started a 5.3l/4l60e swap this weekend
plenty of updates but no pictures because it's raining crazy here. I finished mounting the trans and have it bolted down. the headers are clearanced. the computer is back from the tuner. the fuel system is run up to the front. the oil, steam line, and coolant temp are all drilled and tapped.

Re: started a 5.3l/4l60e swap this weekend
4th gen camaro headers. the driver header had to be cut and routed towards the inside of the frame (it was hitting the frame). also you must get the 1 inch set back generic brackets or the headers will hit the lower control arm (ask me how i know?)

Re: started a 5.3l/4l60e swap this weekend
I'm using the eBay brackets on my motor, from what I've seen they are the one inch back brackets.
