Does ece make a rear notch kit?

I don't see it in the catalog and I don't really want to deal with cpp. I have a 71 with rear leafs and 4" drop with 1.5 shackles. It will be a static drop and I would like a couple inches into the frame just in case.

I don't think ECE sells them.
McGaughys sells them and so does PerformanceOnLine.com.

As far as CPP goes,... we now have a member on the board that works for CPP.
Send member CPPJEFF a PM and he will fix you up.
He's here to correct all the past customer service issues with CPP.

Re: Does ece make a rear notch kit?

Thanks lolife99 unfortunately cppjeff said no exchanges after 30 days on some springs I wanted to exchange. So much for customer service. Thanks for the heads up on McGaughys and PerformanceOnLine.com.

You bought 2nd hand springs from someone else.

You admit the order is older than 30 days.

You don't have the original invoice/receipt.

But it's the company's fault because they won't exchange them?

Seriously?

The springs are brand new....
You weren't the original customer though correct (you bought them from someone else)?
You don't have the invoice for that original purchase & confirm it was more than 30-days ago correct?

Customer Service doesn't mean giving any possible customer everything they want. It's about working w/their existing customers to correct issues that went wrong regardless of fault. Although it would be great to be able to exchange 'third party' purchases (and some companies will), it's not the norm so this does not seem to be a case of poor or no customer service.

I have used CPP & like their stuff. I had a bad experience w/their staff & after hearing others frustrations, have avoided them since. Since you were ok w/using the current springs you have, put them on the parts board so you get something back on the investment & maybe give CPP a shot on the c-notch & correct springs you need (using Jeff as your contact).

There is no offense intended w/this suggestion.

Thanks SCOTI, i'll look into it. I appreciate your suggestion.

Does anyone have any experience with c-notch 67-72? Are there any that fit better or are beefier than others? I'll give cpp a shot if people recommend them. Thank you 6772.

I have only seen pics and helped install a couple. but I haven't seen any of them that fit perfectly. I don't think that is a suppliers issue though. I am going to speculate it may go back to GM and their design.

I agree with the others here. Take advantage of the generous offers that Jeff is bringing to us and sell off what you don't need. I'm guessing you got the springs at a decent price and should be able to recoup your money spent.

I installed a McGaughy's c-notch in my blazer.
Fit great. High PRICE!

I installed a POL c-notch in my '69swb.
Cheaper.
One side fit perfect,... the other side not so good,... but I made it work.

I know that CPP has the best price on them. (approx. $99)
Some times on sale for $89.
My McGaughys from Summit, with shipping, was closer to $170.

I've had a change of heart with CPP.
Until they prove me wrong,... I would give CPPJEFF a chance.

I don't know if they work on a commision or not,...
but Jeff's the one from CPP on here, trying to help out.
