finally...found me another truck!
the search is finally over.....i drove alittle over 600 miles this weekend to go check it out...and as soon as i saw it up close, i bought it...this is definitely the cleanest 81-87 i've had
its a 87 2wd FI 350 Silverado, loaded with every option, dual tanks (that work), a/c (that works) power everything, tilt, cruise, black cloth interior w/headliner, and factory sport bumper....all the goodies a highly optioned truck, and for a 23 year old truck, only 90k miles, and only used for cruise in's, and trips to florida once or twice a year (thats where the miles were from evidentally) this thing doesnt have an ioda of rust! under the hood, you could eat off it, no kiddin...the only things not original are: the corvette rally's (i'll be gettin rid of those eventually for some c-5's or torq thrust II's), and the goodmark steel cowl hood i've already removed those bumper guards, and rain guards...eventually i'll remove those bed rails also it drove all the way back here without a hitch! it drives and feels just like it did when it was new back in 87! the only reason the guy was selling it was b/c he needed to free up some $ for his 49 merc...(*****in ride with a 6.0L powerplant) here's what it looked like when i picked it up (it already is starting to look different though)

Really beautiful truck. Goodmark makes the best hoods for replacement. Nice find. How about some under the hood pictures?

Re: finally...found me another truck!
That's a beautiful truck, nice score. It's nice to see them preserved that well.
2wd sb rc, 5.7 TBI, 700R4, 3.08 gears, dual tanks - wonder what kind of highway range it has? I'll bet you could leave the house and get several states away without stopping for gas. |

Re: finally...found me another truck!
Definately beautiful. And also lots of fun drivind a quad cab Duramax with a 20 foot trailer with the black truck he used to have on it through the twisties. That was an interesting drive for sure.

Re: finally...found me another truck!
Wow.... That is an amazing find! The road salt around me makes it damn near impossible to find a square body that clean.
