81-82 front bumper lights
well i finally got my truck back from the body shop and started opening boxes so i can throw all the new parts that i have for the truck on it. My question is does anyone have pictures of how the lights on the 81-82 bumper are attached, i know its with 3 screws but the way they line up in the bumper is what has me confused. I also need the hardware to mount them so if you guys can help and steer me in the right direction. Thanks

Re: 81-82 front bumper lights
I changed my amber bulbs to white. looks alot better that way. there is another thread on here where a member installed fog lights in the factory bumper location and that looked really good.

Re: 81-82 front bumper lights
I'm looking to install fog lights in my bumper as well, but am having no luck finding ones that will fit well. What thread was it that you saw the fog lights in there?

Re: 81-82 front bumper lights
no the lights still blink for turn signals, the bulb is just clear instead of amber.

Re: 81-82 front bumper lights
Which would make them illegal.Turn signals must be amber lens or bulb.

Re: 81-82 front bumper lights
thanks guys, i kind of did a lil bit of filing around where the light fit, i realized that the burred edges of the new bumper was holding it up from going into place. Im going to have the original turnsignals behind the grill also. I'm planning on just making the ones behind the grill turnsignals so they are off when the park lights are on. and make the ones in the bumper the park light. if i find a another cheap pair of lights for the bumper i might experiment and put a set of hids i have laying around in there, but i think it will melt the housing.

Re: 81-82 front bumper lights
I'd have to go out and look underneath... i know the blinker is an amber bulb and the parking light is a clear bulb.
Moving them to the newer in grille style would be neat, but its hard to say how you would have to mount them in, the radiator brackets were all over the place and that i know determines 1 or 2 head light config but a fog lamp in that spot would be a nice addition if not for having to wire the bugger into the dash
