I have seen that before on craigslist. It makes my crewcab look small.

Re: aww hell yes! 1964 burb.. 24 feet long!
that thing restored would make a great taxi vehicle or scout transport....just be sure upgrade the front brakes with the biggest discs that will bolt on!
if it wasn't so rare, it would make an awesome limo with some of the doors deleted. with a sharp paint job and all the chrome trim intact (and a nice custom interior) it would be far cooler than even one of those H2 limos! |

Re: aww hell yes! 1964 burb.. 24 feet long!
He has been trying to sell it for quite awhile. It needs a big block Chevy motor and a 4l80e trans with 1 ton late model suspension and lots of body work and a very long driveway. I have no room left to park such a beast. Now if I had a big family with lots fo kids I would think about it but not pay what he wants thats for sure.

Some people wait a lifetime for a moment like this. I can say that is the longest Burb that I have ever seen.

That is cool!! I would hate to have to find a parking spot for that beast, especially with manual steering.

Re: aww heck yes! 1964 burb.. 24 feet long!
you wouldn't be trailer towing with it, so a plain jane 350 with a 3.73 rear would be plenty stout for regular driving. for commuting or limo riding, you don't NEED tons of power.
a 383 would be a nice engine.....more torque but same fuel mileage as a 350. overdrive would be a must for a quieter ride and so you could afford to drive it. that truck may have extra rows of seats but it probably doesn't weigh as much as people might think. think what modern trucks with all the sound insulation, safety reinforcement and power extras weigh in at. until the last couple years with hybrids and cylinder deactivation, engines didn't give enough better economy to offset the additional fat. That thing should be restored, upgraded and put back into service at the park.
