McGaughy 4/6 install on 05'
I have an 05' Silverado shortbed that is my daily driver. I bought a Mcgaughys 4/6 drop kit and was wondering if anybody had any tips or advice about installing this kit. I have installed a Belltech 4/6 on my old 89' shortbed, but that was back in 89'. Did that one in a weekend, am I looking at the same time or longer? The instructions make it sound pretty straight forward but I'm sure if you've done it before you have some advice.
Thanks, Dave |

Re: McGaughy 4/6 install on 05'
Dave,
I did a 3/5 on my '04. My install used an aluminum block in the BJ pocket (to b used w/oem wheels)so drilling out those rivets was a Pita. Don't know if you have that same spindle. Other than that, it wasn't bad at all. The spindles on the 88-98s are much easier, not having the hub n all ,so the NBS's are more work. ~T. Last edited by Inverter; 03-01-2010 at 04:36 AM. |
