Changing my fan design .....
Well the bonehead I was buying my fans from got them off the car and told me well...they are broken in 2 places....jesus!!!
So, I talked to my buddy at O reilly and I am getting two 14" Hayden Fans and the adj. theromostat controller. I did manage to get my fan shroud off and my chrome alt bracket on but unfortunately no elec fans till next weekend. Here is a pic of the somewhat cleaned up bay. I still need to install the new chrome alt bracket, but just havent decided to tackle that yet. hehe. Pic coming in a few minutes

Engine bay looking good!
I have a question about the adjustable thermostat controller. Can you set the on and off temperatures with it? If so what is the range you can choose from? How much does it cost? What brand is it? Whats the Part Number? Thanks! ohh yeah, youll like the electric fans much better.

Supposedly yes you can set the temps....dont know the exact range yet but it will be for 200 on 180 off. I know it will do that. Its a Hayden 3647 Part # and its like $30.

DAVE, that is the same one i have on my truck. its been there for 2 years at least and have never had a problem with it (KNOCK KNOCK on wood) some say the ones with the temp sender through the radiator aint anygood but it sure is easy and has proven to be reliable in my truck

How much air do they say they move? This is what concerns me about cheaper fans, and $139 bucks is cheap for two fans.
I hope they work out great for you Dave.

1430cfm on Hayden 1730cfm on SPAL. So yes they move less air but I still think it will be ok. Especially when its soon to not be a daily driver.
There is only a 300 cfm diff. but I will be running two of them like you.

yeah I think (2) fans @ 1430 cfm each (?) would be good enough. Thanks for the info on that adjustable thermostat controller.
