1949 window regulators

I just got my project home and started in on it. It's a 1949 chevy 3600. The inside door handles and window rollers are gone. The problem is the teeth where they mount are completely stripped off. Do I have to buy the complete door assembly and window regulators or can the studs just be replaced, or is there someway to fix them. I hate to spend $300.00

Ted.

Cheers,

They also sell the regulator repair kit, but I would pass on that. I bought the kits for my '56 and ended up not using it because they were not the best quality. I would look for extra set of door to rob the parts off of first and if you can't find that then resort to buying the new units.

Re: 1949 window regulators

After I thought about it, that's what I'm going to do. Everything works good, they're just rounded off. Hate to replace everything just for that. I did learn something though, Classic parts is only about 5 minutes from where I work, I got a new hangout. It's a nice place. Thanks for the answers guys.
