New from Oakland, CA

Hi, I'm 19 years old and I'm in Oakland, NorCal.

I have a 68 GMC 1/2T Short bed. The engine is 327cc V8 and is only driven 66k. The truck is in really good condition, everything is original but he need some small repairs.

I want him to get good lookin, so i want to get a new paint job and nice wheels under him soon.

Nice truck Paul68gmc, that paint job looks real good in the pics hope you keep it. I'm just across the bay from you over in South City so hope to see you on the road or at some of the NorCal car/truck shows in 2010. The All American Truck show is coming up in May in Redwood City, hope you can make it:

Re: New from Oakland, CA

Here in the Bay Area you can check the wrecking yards for some truck rallys:
http://www.santaclaratruckwreckers.com/

If you want the car rallys (which it sounds like you do) try Davids Rally Wheels in San Jose:
http://www.davidsrallywheels.com/id1.html

Craigslist is a valuable online source too for finding some car rallys. If you want to pay for a set of custom made new car rallys try Wheel Vintiques:
http://wheelvintiques.com/

Finally, I have found Bill at Vintage Chevy (in Fremont Ca) to be an excellent source for original used/new parts for 67-72 Chevy/GMC trucks:

Just call Bill up and let him know what you are looking for, he either has it or can get it for you. I could spend days in his shop, he has everything....

Re: New from Oakland, CA

welcome from Livermore... Also I just bought some rally's today, and also scouted out a set of 6 lug rally's over at "phelp's" auto wreckers over in san leandro. I think he wanted like $35.00 each and he had a stack of beauty rings to dig thru. The center caps were another story I only saw 2 of those... anyways good luck with your truck..
