IS IT TRUE THAT SUBURBANS ARE BUILT ON 3/4 TON FRAMES, AND THAT THE SUSPENSION IS WHAT MAKES THEM "1/2 TON"?

i would think its the other way around. built on the same frame and the suspensions are what makes them 1/2 3/4 tons. not sure but thats my .02cents

From what I can tell, the frames are the same, but I do know the suspension pieces are heavy duty. Springs, tierods, etc.
