Re: which route should i take
never done it but im sure with the motor out of the blazer and a bare2wd frame it would be easier to pull the suspersion off the frame and put it on the blazer.. it has been done like that before. besides im pretty sure the floors and mounts and what not are different from truck to blazer.... not posative tho

Yes, yes, and yes! You can convert the 4wd frame to 2wd a lot easier than trying to make the truck frame fit under the Blazer. You will need the 2wd crossmember, but you can put a motor and transmission in with a one piece driveshaft.

Re: which route should i take
i think he means can he just throw a motor and 2wd tranny in the 4wd blaer in its current state and get a longer driveshaft. that sounds more thesable to me. you wont need the transfer case or front driveshaft, just leave the yoke on the front axle, make sure the hubs arent locked in, and throw in your engine/tranny combo with a longer driveshaft if needed. you might find that the current mght fit if your trans turns out to be the same length as the one that was previously in it.

Re: which route should i take
If you have a 2wd donor frame already --- why not just do it right the first time? Doing a front suspension/crossmember swap is so much easier in its current state -- (motor out of the truck) --
unless you have thoughts of putting a x-fer case equipped tranny back in again

Re: which route should i take
i dont plan to do the transfer case thing at all because i dont have the money to . thats why i was deciding on what to do. knightowl73 thats exactly what im trying to do. so it should work right. i never done the 2 wd conversion so i was wondering on how hard it would be. if its to much task i will just drop motor, tranny and longer drive shaft and get it back on the road
