flip and switch a-arms?
i do wanna go low, planniing on it, i have seen and even remember on my old slammed blaer that the upper ball joints are at a pretty bad angle when that low. has anyone ever thought to flip the upper a-arms over and swap them side to side, and mounting the BJ's opposite so they are pointing down again? ive thought of it before but got rid of the truck before i ever tried it. but i would think that t would work.

hummmm. interesting. i will be following this thread....
thats how my chevelle was.. you'd jack it up, and the tires would "bow in" a different direction than all the other cars in the shop haha. |

ill prolly go for it if i still cant find anyone who has by the time i do actually drop my truck. hopefully this wll be real soon. finding the time when i have the money is the problem right now.
i still need to get to pick-a-part and pull the steering shaft from a astro van. i used one on my monte, it tightens up the steering and gave me alot more clearance for headers. but i looked on my bud's project truck laid out on the ground with no fornt end and the steering shaft is the only thing i see that could possibly mess this up. ive heard of guys flippin and swapping the lower control arms on the cavaliers so i would assume the geometry would be better also on our trucks flippin the uppers. |
