Rust killing products
The clamshells on my '70 are in great condition, but i noticed when opening the upper hatch you can hear a little bit of stuff moving around in there, no doubt some rust on the inside. I'm going to take it off, blow it out, dump a bunch of rust killer in the hinge holes, and slosh it around, probably several times. I have some products in mind, but I was wondering if anyone had some specific recommedations. Thanks.

POR 15
I've never used this stuff, but everyone raves about how good it is.

Re: Rust killing products
You can also use a product called rust encapulator from Eastwood. It comes in three colors: red, silver and black. All colors can be painted over with what ever color you want.
I have used black on my Burbs frame and suspension with great results. |

Re: Rust killing products
Neither of these products are really rust killers. They only coat over the rusty metal to prevent more water from getting at it.
I've personally used POR-15 on most of my project vehicles, including inside of doors.
