54 gmc steering HELP!
im doing a build on a 54 its my first time on a classic, and im having problems with the steering box, i put a 350 in it, id like to keep somewhat original, also any help with doing a budget ifs built on this truck would be helpful

I believe you need to move the steering column outboard. Do a search it might turn up a thread about this from last summer with more details. AD guys do you have a link??

Old timers used to offset the engine one way and the steering box the other. You might also look at converting to a "late" model steering set up using a 73-87 box.

There are lots of people that don't like it, but a very "cheap" IFS is to put a front saddle from '73-'87 C10 under your truck. You get power steering, disc brakes, etc. etc. I did mine about 10 years ago, and I think the entire swap cost me about $200
