Pinks All out Dallas
Well we made the trip again this year, this time it was at the Dallas strip.
All was cool except parking or lack of. By the time all the racers were parked it left no room for watchers. My first pass gave me 2 surprises first was a 9.98 time slip and second was I did it with no helmet. I felt like a idiot when I reached for it at the end to take it off and it wasn't there, looked over in the floor and there it laid. Second pass gave me one surprise, I launched and blew my pass. side muffler off. still ran a 10.2 Third pass was a 9.946, no surprises, I took the other muffler before hand. Forth pass was a 9.947, no surprises but man she was consistent. Then I got another surprise, they picked a 9.90 class and I was in the hunt. I was up against a 32 car field and I would be one of the 16 under dogs. Well I came up against a fellow who had more class champion stickers on his window than John Force, so I wasn't surprised when he spanked me. We all made our way back to the pits to put up our stuff and start on a beer and some BBQ and it seemed like the thing lasted forever, alot of people left way before the end of the show and to top it all off the fellow that won was a repeat winner, talk about luck.. All in all it really wasn't a bad experience for us we all had fun and I just might get to be on the tv this time.

Re: Pinks All out Dallas
I went out there for this event. The parking issue flat out sucked.... You had to park +3miles away & ride a local school bus to the track.
Once the sun went down, the wind & cooler temps caused the 'less than commited' portion of my group to bail (forcing me to leave as well). Looked like there was a decent turn-out for the field though. I noticed the original-posters truck & indeed it looked strong on the couple of passes I saw. I wanted to go to the small tire event they were having this weekend but my GF had her niece/nephew over for the weekend which means family time only.

Re: Pinks All out Dallas
Her nephew is autistic. We took them to the zoo on Saturday & the crowd there was a little too much for him w/minimal noise. A crowded noisy place? No way.
