Re: stepside tailights????
I am going to have the same decision to make on both of my stepsides.
I have been thinking about putting a roll-pan on one of them and putting the lights it. I saw picture on here one time where a guy used a shortened bumper off an El Camino that had tail-lights in it, looked pretty good.

nope just drilled the mounting holes. real simple, super bright they have 13 LED's and a relector in the middle so they are completely legal.

Re: stepside tailights????
I used 60-66 taillights with stock brackets moved to the lower position.

Re: stepside tailights????
Kind of depends on what the "overall theme" of your truck is.
For something retro I went with '64 Impala tailights. |

Re: stepside tailights????
I found some cheap chopper tail lights on ebay. I lowered the stock mount plates, they used the same mounting holes as the originals.

Re: stepside tailights????
Cool! I went with 63 Impala lights on my 60 Apache which I've since sold. I took the lights off before I sold the truck and plan to use them on my new 62 short step project!

Re: stepside tailights????
Those Imp lights look really slick on the 60-66 style fenders. I usually don't like like lights mounted in the fenders, but those work really nice on that truck.
