a arm pivot shaft question

I took my a arms out of my 72 truck, can someone tell me what I am looking for when I inspect them for wear and tear. I can see the rubber dust boot is no good but what do I look for with the shafts and the large 1 5/8 and 1 3/8 nuts.

Thanks for any help.

Re: a arm pivot shaft question

Turn the shaft and look for binding. Check for any end play.
