1964 Suburban
Hello fellas, quick question or a heads up for anyone near here. Long story short, Ive been keeping an eye on a suburban for about 3 years now, went to the guys house last night and its gone. He gave it to his friend to sell it for him. Im just curious as to what you guys think its worth. Heres the link of his first posting. http://tampa.craigslist.org/hil/cto/1711709250.html . Its a little rougher that when I first found it 3 years ago. Guy says it need rockers, fender bottoms, front drip rail repair, and possible door bottoms. Only has the front seat, none in rear. The engine is a straight 6 w/ 3 on the tree tranny. He tells me he will relist it one more time and if she doesnt go then hes going to scrap it. old me to make him an offer but I really dont know how much the suburbans go for. Tell me what ya think.

Sounds like a pretty decent deal to me. I would give him the asking price for it. But of course, if you can get it cheaper, go for it.

Re: 1964 Suburban
Hasnt run for about 3 years i know. But everything like wiring, engine, etc. is untouched. It was originally a sheriff inmate carrier, used to haul prisoners. It still has the bars in the windows. Atleast thats the story the owner gave me. None the less its untouched, which is one of the reasons im chomping at the bit for it. He said hes gonna repost it and hold on to it for one more month until his son moves away to college. So its not going anywhere for a few weeks. This is all I know about it though.

Re: 1964 Suburban
Thats actually exactly what I did and he said he would go for it. Gonna go scope things out this weekend as a matter of fact. Im not going to go crow yet, I dont have her in hand, but shes pretty much mine if everything goes as planned financially... if that actually ever happens
