Air-Engine

Looking to redo my bags, anyone have experience with the air-engine manifold? Was curious about feedback...negative or positive?

Pardon my ignorance, but what is an 'air-engine manifold' ?

take a look at the above link, basically it is an 8 valve all in one manifold. Looks pretty cool but unsure about it.

Re: Air-Engine

I haven't used one, but to me the positive is not having to buy about 250 bucks worth of fitting to do the system. They also take up less space. My valves and tank take up the entire area of a spare tire under the truck.

Re: Air-Engine

you can come check out mine if you want, I'm happy with it. If you get the one with fittings for 1/2" line then each bag has it's own slow down valve so the adjustability is nice. like anything else, it has it's negatives too, but ease of installation and $$ saved on fittings make it very worth it. Also, you can get one with all the 1/2" stuff for a lot cheaper than that link you put up

Re: Air-Engine

"It takes 1 of these for complete FBSS, one on each corner". What does the one in each corner mean. Did'nt they just say it takes one?:uhmk I'm liking it but do I need 4?

Re: Air-Engine

you need 1...it's 8 valves in one unit. it takes one line in from the tank and distributes the air to all four corners thru 4 up valves and 4 down vales. It also has 4 fittings for your guages that come from the manifold itself. just mount your 1 unit, run all of your airlines and wire it up and you're done. if you run 1/2" line then you'll have a slowdown valve on each air line and also a 5th slow down valve where the air comes out of the manifold when you're deflating your bags so you have a lot of adjustability as far as speed.

Re: Air-Engine

here you go, this is mine...you can see that there is a 1/2" running to each bag and then a 1/4" line that runs to the guages. that one unit is the brain of the whole system, will save a lot of money over using individual valves.

Re: Air-Engine

I think the one big problem is the company itself.

Re: Air-Engine

I've made many many purchases from that company and never had a problem so I can't say anything bad about them. I have a 5 gallon tank with two Viair 380c's, and the best deal on the manifold will probably be on ebay, that's where I got mine. There are a bunch of drop shippers on ebay, your buy it from them but the order is shipped from airbagit, you just get it cheaper than the price that's on airbagit.
