How are you guys shortening your doors?
I was wondering how you guys shorten your doors to meet evenly with the bed for the show Blazers? Has anyone shortened their doors and kept the glass instead of boxing it all in? I know that is far fetched because the window couldn't go high enough with the door being shorter but It'll work for me because I chopped 6" off the windshield. Here's what I got so far and I don't like it. I'll probably pick up a new door and start over.

It would be great if you can get the windows to still work!
There was one truck that they raised the bed sides and tailgate to match the doors, which I thought was a great idea.

Re: How are you guys shortening your doors?
The only problem with that is it makes the whole truck look taller. With my chopped windshield it already looks tall and I was thinking of sectioning out about 2-4".

Re: How are you guys shortening your doors?
You could section the front doors and fenders to lower the window portion to be level with the bed?? Just an idea?

Re: How are you guys shortening your doors?
I think the door you fixed looks pretty good! Only area that looks kind of off is the distinct body line that matches up with the front fender. Maybe make that line come down at the same angle of your window channel & just fade into nothing. (I can't draw straight to make it look right, but maybe you can picture what I'm saying).

Re: How are you guys shortening your doors?
Not so much, the door has to be cut down to keep the body lines with the bed. I can't section it because the top of the door is not the same as the bed 2" down.

Re: How are you guys shortening your doors?
what if you only cut the door down half the amount and raised the bedsides and gate the other half... then it wont be as noticable

Re: How are you guys shortening your doors?
Are you wanting to keep the side roll up glass? I think the way you chopped the upper portion of the door looks good.

Re: How are you guys shortening your doors?
Why not step the door like the F150 trucks?... right after the vent window... or where the vent window would have been
