Road trip! 70 Blazer
Bought this feller out west, flying out one way tomorrow morning to pick it up for a 1200 mile drive back home. rust free survivor, non original paint. Must remember to bring all the "what if" stuff.....tow strap, duct tape, hose clamps, tools etc. Last edited by 57NAPCO; 06-08-2010 at 05:51 PM. |

Re: Road trip! 70 Blazer
Sounds like a fun trip. I do feel sorry for your wallet though. 1200 miles = lots of gas!

Make sure you gets a moderator's cell phone number. If you have a problem, they can check the emergency list and hopefully get you in contact with someone who is close.

Re: Road trip! 70 Blazer
I hope your trip goes well. I have been down that road three times. Flew out to Co. and drove my 1972 CST 4x4 Blazer back to NC. Second time flew to California and drove my 1976 Chalet Blazer back to NC. My last trip flew to Dallas TX and drove back my 1972 GMC Jimmy 4x4 to NC. Had a few minor problems on all three trips but that is to be expected with older vehicles. Good luck and take lots of pictures. If you have a wife like mine she will make a picture scrape book of your trip. You and your daughter are making memories. Have fun and enjoy the time spent with your daughter. They grow up way to fast.

Re: Road trip! 70 Blazer
Sitting here in Big Spring TX at the hotel, quite the road trip it's been. The wind has been kickin my arse The 1 ton is a Jed Clampit special, siding..... flappin in the wind and all. Both trucks have run flawlessly. The 1 tons oil level has not budged off the full mark, amazing. Added a quart this morning to the blazer. 230 miles to go....carry on.
