1966 Free to Good Home (Board members)
Hi All... I have the remains of my long bed parts truck that I'm ready to get rid of. It's yours to take for free if your a board member (local pickup only). I thought about selling parts off of it but figured it may help a board member or two if I just donated it. The deal is you take everything including the left over parts in the bed. I'm going to pull the motor, swaybar, Radiator mounts, and the tailgate. All of the suspension and steering is there and rolls just fine so it would be easy to load. I'm not sure if this qualifies as selling but I figured it was ok to post here if it's free...

That is awesome of you to offer. I wish I wasn't so far away hugging the northern border because that box looks alot better than mine. Your generosity is going to make someone very happy.

Great opportunity for some youngster here on the board!
Outstanding potential - any high school automotive classes locally? Mac.

The truck ran and drove 3 months ago. I drove it here and parted it out. Brakes and rearend were great, no frame damage. etc. Trans and driveline go with it.

That's very generous of you chevyguys
espkh3, just a reminder; as per forum rules, a "PM sent" reply does NOT put you first in line, only a "I'll take it" reply. We just don't want any hard feelings to come out of this very generous offer. Thanks

Re: 1966 Free to Good Home (Board members)
Hi All... There seems to be some confusion on the conditions of the truck. I am giving the entire truck away as one item. I am not parting it out. If you wan't a part of it then you will need to take the entire truck. Also... The truck is being given away on a first come first serve basis. I will not hold the truck for anyone. While I would love too. It just makes it too complicated and results in people changing minds and requests to hold the truck because of trailer issues/ schedules etc.
Once the truck has been picked up I will add another post to let everyone know it is gone. This way you know if it is available or not.

Re: 1966 Free to Good Home (Board members)
Hi all!
The truck is gone.... Thanks for all of the great comments. I hope others will do the same. Many of us have "parts" we will never use. While we could sell them and make some $$$ it's always nice to just lend a helping hand (most of us do it with our buddies anyways) There have been many times in my life that a project has sat for months or longer because I simply could not afford what I needed to continue. Maybe it would be nice to have a free section on the board or a "help me I'm broke off my A$$" section. Yes some people may try to take advantage but many will not. Often when times are hard, being able to tinker on your projects helps keep you mind off the other things. -Seann
