My 62
I have owned this for 42 years and am restoring it after everyone in my family has used it and gave it back. I will keep trying to down load some progress shots. I am ready to put the interior in.

Re: My 62
Yes that looks very nice. I see you have changed the front suspension already. Are you going to leave the cab primered inside and out? What transmission are you going with?
Edit: I see you have another thread where you have done some painting. You might want to contact one of the Mods and see if they can merge the two threads for you.

Re: My 62
I am painting it with a maroon my daughter picked out. I was in Arizona and saw a restored truck at a stop sign. It was the perfect color. My wife and I followed him all over the place until he pulled into his house. He had the original paint specs for a 1941 ford Mayfair Maroon. I had the paint made up to the original specs in a Urethane.
It is a turbo 350 from a 1979 van and I had it rebuilt and a trailer package added. |

The doors, front and fenders are painted and ready for color sanding. The cab is being done tonight and I should have some pictures tomorrow.

Re: My 62
wow, that's looking great. and i really like the color. I was recently looking at one almost the same color - the seller said it had never been repainted, 23K original miles. But I didn't ever recall seeing a maroon color in a 65 (in this truck's case). But it sure looked great on the truck - and yours looks great. Looks like you've got some other fun toys in the shop too....

Re: My 62
Before I started my truck restore I did this MGB last year. Is it illegal to show someting other than a truck. It was much easier job because I had no rust. It is 100% new exterior and interior.
