carb - vacuum hose help

ok, so i pulled the carb to have it rebuilt and i didnt tag any of the hoses that i pulled off. I think i have all but one connected correctly. The last hose is not connected.... Well i cant find anything to connect it to!!!!! It sucks air and when i put my thumb over it the trucks seems to idle better. I dont have a pic but i have the chiltons repair manual and i cant understand the diagrams. On pg 5-6 (fuel system) fig. 12 has a pic of the hose i am talking about. I will try to get a pic asap. Anybody have any pics of the hoses to carb??? Mainly the ones behind the carb!!

Please help.

Re: carb - vacuum hose help

Ok.. here goes.... you can see in the pics... i traced it, and it goes to a "T".. which then splits off to plug up into the air-cleaner... which i dont know the technical term for it.. but it does affect how it idles when i have it unplugged. I'm assuming it has to deaL with my emmisions and such... big thing here in California... where ur from.. don't know how that works... if it idles rough when it's not plugged.. try sticking a bolt in it to plug it... and away you go..... Alright Texas... good luck from California.... hit me if you have any more ?'s

Re: carb - vacuum hose help

thanks a million. I would like to get everything connected correctly eventually, but for right now I will take your advice and plug it for tonight. I have to get to work in about an hour so wish me luck.
