Instrument Cluster question

1974 model, what be entailed to ditch the warning lights and get gauges. Surely it is harder than just swapping the cluster. I know someone has done a few of these, tell me how easy it is!

I know from reading around that you need to match updated sending units to the new gauges. Here's an article that might help get you going:
