plug gap
i got an accel hei distributor with msd cap and rotor with accel coil.. and im wanting to get new plugs and wires since my wires now have touched the headers and kind of melted. i am anal about my stuff so while i am buying new wires i decided to go ahead and get new plugs too.. to me its like putting a dirty sock on your foot after you got out of the shower but i cant seem to find any threads on what the plug gap should be... i know someone will know so i thank you all

Re: plug gap
x2 on .045 gap with HEI (.035 for points). And I believe standard wires are 7mm... 8mm wires are required with HEI.

Re: plug gap
^ true on that both counts
i got taylor wires because they are awesome and to protect taht investment, i bought the heat boots so that they dont melt even if they do touch the headers. I have replaced too many accel wires. plus i have also made the mistake of leaving the truck running and im checking under the hood. see a little burn mark on the wire and reach over and grab it to move it out of the way. then all of a sudden i feel a jolt and my fingers go numb for a sec. it wakes you up.
