Another rear axle question...
Hey guys. I'm working on my '59. I have the 10 bolt installed from a '79 camaro. open diff and drums. Im buying a 700r4 tranny from a guy out of an '83 camaro and he also has a 10 bolt out of the same '83 with a posi and disc brakes. He is asking $250 for the rear end. Seems to me like its worth four wheel disc brakes and a posi. What do you guys think? Will th '83 camaro 10 bolt be a good width for my '59 step side?

Re: Another rear axle question...
The best thing is to measure both rear ends mounting surface to mounting surface and see what the difference is. I have no idea what the going price for such a rear end is but that is probably close to the mark if everything is in top rate shape. The good thing is that it would have the right ratio for the trans to work right.
