Floor pan question???

I'm building a budget daily driver/shop truck that needs new floor pans BADLY! The cab is also rusty above the windshield and a few other places that I'm not about to tackle or what I'm about to use it for. My question is: Has anybody bought the $30 floor pans from LMC instead of the more expensive OEM ones they list? And what is the difference? Or should I just make some of my own out of sheet metal since it will be covered up by a floormat/carpet? Thanks in advance.
