4l60?
Can you use a 4l60 instead of the 4l60e? I already have one of these.

Re: 4l60?
Not easily the spacing is off on the bell housing. The traditional V8 block is cast with a extended lip from the block face as compared to an LS. Plus all of the throttle bodies have no provision for a TV cable. I am also unsure about the reluctor for the speed sensor. Jay

Re: 4l60?
I figured it wouldn't, just thought I'd see.

Re: 4l60?
Sure you can, you can use practically any GM transmission behind an LS engine. Bowtie Overdrives makes a TV cable kit for the DBC throttle bodies for the TV cable on the 700R4 or 4L60 trans, as well as the kickdown cable of the TH350, etc. You will need a flexplate adapter, but I'm not sure which one off the top of my head.
There are lots of LS engines with 700R4's behind then, and the 4L60 is practically the same trans. You will need to be sure the trans functions are flashed out of the PCM.

Re: 4l60?
I'm going with a 4L65 behind my 6.0 LQ4. 200 4r currently for sale here on the board.

Re: 4l60?
I bought a 200-4r for mine...but I'm not running EFI, or the PCM and harness. Just a carb with a MSD box reading the crank and cam (and MAP) sensors to fire the OEM coil packs.

Re: 4l60?
Now that would be a sweet choice for a 1/4 mile car!! 1.82 low gear, turbo shaft with a tiny TH350 converter behind a 6.0L.......

Re: 4l60?
Its a Chevy everything works with everything. Its just a matter of getting the proper adapters.
