LS3 in-tank fuel pump recomendation
Can anyone respond with information or refer to a thread regarding an in-tank fuel pump for an LS3 engine? I have a 65 fleet side project with an aluminum, baffled, efi, relocation fuel tank, purchased from CPP. I prefer using an in-tank fuel pump and sending unit. The LS3 has a returnless system and requires 60 psi constant pressure and 40 gph delivery. Anyone doing the same thing now with success? Part numbers and manufacturers are appreciated. Thanks for any help and thanks for this forum - I'm a newbie.

Re: LS3 in-tank fuel pump recomendation
No, no info with the tank, but thanks for your information. I'll take a look at it. I even called the engine supplier, crateenginedepot.com and they could not make any recommendation. They knew there were some after-markets out there but couldn't tell me what. Tried looking into a late model corvette pump, but they run two because of a split fuel cell. Not sure if one is just a feeder and the other pumps to the engine? Thanks again.

Jim,Here's some info for you. This is not the calculator I used but it should work.Keep the brake spec. fuel consumption at .55.The horsepower rating needs to be actual, not what your shooting for.I'll try to remember to compare it mon. when I'm at work.

I second the walboro 255. They are the only one MAST uses for their fuel kits. I know you wont have any problems with it.
Here is the one I'll be using. We have pretty much the same set up. I'm running the L92/6L80e set up. Good for 750HP. Doubt you'll break that. http://www.mastmotorsports.com/2010/...Systems&id=129

Re: LS3 in-tank fuel pump recomendation
Guys fuel pump requirements are diff. for every horespower rating, type of use etc..,I'ts not good to just guess. There is nothing wrong w/ a 255 it's what i'm using. The guys at Mast motorsports are using the same mathmatical equations as the link I posted. Now you know how they came to that conclusion. To much pump volume has it's own host of problems!

Re: LS3 in-tank fuel pump recomendation
Stock LS3, use a Walbro 255 and a vette regulator. This is what S&P and many others use.
