Windshield Washer questions- 83 C10
Hey All,
As my sig says, I have an 83 c10 suburban. It has itermitent wipers which work fine, however, the washers do not work. As with all things old, they used to, and I would like to fix them if possible. It stopped working when the nipple for the intake line broke off, so I pulled one from the jukyard and put it on but it still doesn't work. Seals are good. I took the cover off the motor and pump, and the piston moves freely in the bore, but it does not pull fluid into the line. There is fluid in the tank, and the lines/screen are not clogged. I tired cleaning all of it, and putting water into the piston to try and prime it - even filled the intake line with water - but it still doesn't pull water from the tank. Any suggestions, I'm at a loss here. Thanks, Kurt |
