Wiring!!!
Help:
I just bought an 85 SWB C-10 with an electrical gremlin. The left rear brake and turn signal work but not the right. Tail light on both rears work. Have changed the bulb socket and added a ground for that side. I am not getting any juice from the dark green wire coming out of the junction box on the firewall. Also, when you start the truck, the windshield wipers cycle once. Any suggestions? Confused Trucker

Sounds like you have a bad turn signal switch.
If the truck has intermittent wipers then the wiper delay module is probably freaked out. Hope this helps ------------------ 72 4x4 shortbed 454 a/c tilt tach vacuum guage fourwheel discs just got done w/7 year resto. go to streetheatcarclub.com

Big Block:
Thanks for your reply. I changed the turn signal and the right side brake light worked until I tried to test the turn signal. Now the brake light won't work. Thanks for your help, rmfulton

For those of you that read this post, I thought that I would post an update. The problem with the turn signal and brake light turned out to be a problem where the wiring loom from the tail lights fastened to the junction box on the firewall. Took it apart, plugged it back in and was back in business.
Hazard lights happened to be a problem cause the PO didn't have a flasher can in the module. I didn't know there was a place for that flasher can until I was doing the gymnastics necessary to look at the wiring from the turn signal switch to the fuse box. Haven't figured out the problem yet with the wiper cycling when I turn the ignition switch to run. Will check the pulse module. rmfulton
