Hello all.
You may know me from such forums as HardcorePontiacs and W-Body.
I'm Jay, from Texas and looking for 1973-87 No. 3. I currently have a 1995 Olds Silhouette (rockin' it Get Shorty style) and a 1991 Chevy S10 Blazer. I go a little crazy with my mods. Nothing outrageous, just crazy. I'm the guy that adds every factory option my car doesn't have, then adds factory options it never could have. I'm also a tool junkie. Many of my tools I use to work on my cars are 2-3 times older than myself. I'm a regular at the pawnshops loose tool bins. My Silhouette has autodimming rear view mirror, 16" wheels and Homelink, neither of which were available on the dustbuster vans. My Blazer has Homelink, express down windows, retained accessory power, heated mirrors, autodimming rear view with compass, overhead console with DIC, illuminated keyless entry, 1988 analog tach cluster, window lock out switch, dome light cutoff and reel out underhood light. I'm looking for a 1981-87 2wd C10 shortbed fleetside (isn't everyone? haha) on which to work my magic. I'm already gathering parts to install Automatic climate control, steering wheel controls, tach, CD, heated seats, heated, signal, folding mirrors, and everything else possible to make it compare to a 2011 truck. As I refuse to buy anything newer than 2000. Anyhow, looking forward to being here and posting. Likely be hanging out in the electrical sections and 1973-87, but I'll try to keep up with the other sections as well. |
