1950 3800 series rear bumper brackets
Hey,this is my first thread. I need help. I have a 1950 deluxe 3800 series pick-up truck. Im looking to add a rear bumper. Where can I find bumper brackets that fit a 1 ton.
Thanks, Danny |

Re: 1950 3800 series rear bumper brackets
Were the 1 tons available with a 1/2 ton style bumper (assuming that's what you're wanting)? Mine had an ag bumper of sorts, and judging by the original taillight mount couldn't accept a 1/2 ton style bumper.
Maybe check with Jim Carter Truck Parts and see if they can help you.

Re: 1950 3800 series rear bumper brackets
I ordered a set of brackets and a bumper and told them it was going on a 3800 but they must have sent the standard 1/2 or 3/4 ton brackets which are made for a much wider frame. I have read that the 3800 parts are hard to come by cause many were not reproduced. Im not sure but I think that in 1950 a rear bumper was available? The truck came with a big ugly looks to be homemade trailer hitch which I removed. Thanks for info Blue Jeep
