My "new" donor vehicle...

Picked this up yesterday...dang near stole it. It's a '99 w/the 5.7L. Planning to swap engine, tranny, and computer into my '81.

I had thought of going with a 5.3 or 6.0, but I got this whole thing for $450...couldn't pass it up for anything!!

I have a rebuildable wreck yard 2 blocks down the street from me. I see guys dragging stuff out of there all the time, but for the prices they want, I can't see the point. I can get a Cummins donor for $5500, just not ready to shell that $ out yet.

Good luck on the swap, keep us posted.
