1964 GMC Rear End
Hey Guys I just got back from the parts store with bad news I have a 1964 GMC "Leaf Spring" Truck they told me that I have to have rear bumper brackets made Counterpart doesn't make the mounting kit for the rear of my truck.
Specs: 1964 GMC 3/4 Ton Leaf Spring Rear end Dana 44 I have the new bumper in the shed but none of the hardware matches Just a little Help & Ideas Please |

I used the aftermarket brackets on my 63 GMC 3/4 ton but they didn't fit quite right. They bolted right to the frame but they held the bumper too close to the bed so I shimmed it out with some big washers. The bumper (also aftermarket) fits fine now but the licence plate bracket is not even close to fitting. It's like the bumper is too high and the bracket hits the tailgate so I just bolted the plate right to the bed, under the tailgate.

I bought the kit that is from classic ind. and it didn't fit at all. I have to have them made then, dang it well got'a find a good metal man one day why not now
