slam dunk!
lately ive been going through the threads and reading about fellow members builds and hearing about their bad luck as their build goes on, and so far ive been pretty blessed since i picked up my 60 after someone ran a red light totalling my 63. the build as overall been somewhat of a cake walk aside from being short on cash, which is always expected when building a project, since you can never seem to have enough coin. the past couple months i have really been bustin my ass to get my truck runnin and road worthy so that this year i can move to san luis obispo and start my freshman year of college. as "luck" would have it, i woke up this morning and found that our lovely tempermental arizona winds blew or basketball hoop right through the windshield of my 60 apache. i was pretty damn pissed, but what are you gonna do, ya know? S H It happens. A basketball hoop through my windshield isnt really the excuse that i wanted to use to have to paint my dash and the inside of my cab the RIGHT way though.

Re: slam dunk!
Bummer. Love your optimistic perspective!
Just think if you lived up here in Colorado and the wind was accompanied by a foot of snow... that would suck, eh? Will your insurance cover the cost of the windshield? Hell, will your insurance cover the repaint too? Last edited by lakeroadster; 11-12-2010 at 08:52 AM. |

Re: slam dunk!
watched that happen to a neighbors car one day.
almost would have been cheaper if it had hit the hood, those 60-63 w/s are pricey!

Re: slam dunk!
I know how bad that sucks too! When I took mine out I hid it in the utility room to keep it safe. My daughter and her friends broke it while looking for the fishing poles that I had hidden.
