fan shroud mounting on factory radiator
Hey guys how does the reproduction fan shrouds from lmc , classic etc hook up to a factory radiator? I was going to order one but after looking at my radiator i only have the bolt holes where the radiator bolts to the front of the truck, i don't see the side mounts like in some of the pics on the other threads.
ie: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ght=fan+shroud thx Last edited by badriand; 11-15-2010 at 10:14 PM. |

Re: fan shroud mounting on factory radiator
I just replaced my radiator two days ago and the new radiator was made by someone who just looked at the dimensions and never actually installed one because its got some metal frame where the rubber gromets go. I had to take out the half inch rubber pieces and replace them with some thin hose I cut up and even then the brackets didn't line up enough. just a hair off though, I just ziptied it. my truck aint no show truck :P

Re: fan shroud mounting on factory radiator
Yup. Used to overheat all the time. Now I tow in 100+ weather and it's never over 210. Fan shroud, heavy duty fan clutch and 19" steel fan. Works great!
