well i guess i can start now

hey guys i was pretty active for a minute but then the bottom fell out. my computer crashed my last 2 months in iraq, came home to find my girlfriend had left me and moved out of the houseafter 5 yrs (the 28 months in iraq didn't help). after acouple weeks of heavy drinking (which doesn't help at all) i need to get my mind on something else so im going to jump on my truck. im hoping this will help my head straighten out.

Sounds like you have had your fair share of bad luck. Thank you for your service to our country! Getting back on the truck will help you out I think, giving yourself one goal after another as you achieve what you want out of it. Glad you made it home.

Yeah, thanks so much for your dedication and service. Don't sweat the ex. Move forward with dignity, wish her the best, and if the truck will help take your mind off things, have at it. Today is the first day of the rest of your life, my friend.

Re: well i guess i can start now

Bulldog, From one vet to another, welcome home and thank you for your service. I spent 2 tours in Vietnam, I came home to the same issues you did, I guess nothing changes.

Best to just get yourself busy and let things take there course, you right, losing yourself in a bottle doesn't help at all.

Re: well i guess i can start now

Welcome home!!!

Same here Brother, Our long tours do not help with the the personal and family matters at home but we have the tools and help at our disposal if we need it. If you need someone to talk to send me a PM. I can also find someone if need be through my Family Support Corrdinator for your area or talk to your Shirt.

Please don't get hooked on the bottle or god forbid - throw your career away with drugs.

Llike metioned before focus on a goal and when accomplished set another but pick something obtainable.

What model you working on, I'm in the beginning of swapping 6.2s in to a CUCV M1009 and moderizing some of the options.

Again Welcome Home!
