l59 option delete

I am doing the harness work myself on the 2005 5.3 install on my 68. This engine has the flex fuel L59 option. Can this wiring and sensor be deleted or is it necessary for proper operation? I think it is called a fuel temperature composition sensor located in the fuel line with a 3-wire connector. White wire to pcm, black wire to ground, and pink wire to ignition on +12 volt in original harness. Thanks Brian Mac

Re: l59 option delete

Your tuner should be able to delete that in the tune and not have to worry about it.. once reflashed it won't even look for it..

Re: l59 option delete

I talked to Hannah at Waitforme performance and she said the same thing. She said it could be tuned out so go ahead and remove the wiring from the harness.
