she is home again!!!!

This 82 started out as a plain shell we purchased from a local drag racer..I got it as an early graduation gift from highschool..weeks later me and my dad stuffed a 502 nbc and TH400..drove the truck for couple years and times got hard and had to sell...a good friend of mine purchased it...a couple weeks after that someone stole the driveshaft...he had no idea what to do..he had an old escort taking up space in the garage and offered it to me in return for fixing the truck...he drove it for a week..then it sat for months...one day he saw the car running..and he wanted it back..(his high school auto body project ) he offered the truck back....needless to say..JUMPED on it! Put a new battery on..a couple tires..and brought her home! Now this time around I can do some good to her

Here is the plan..73 front clip...bright red with just a small flame accent..possible one piece windows and shaved mirrors...will have brake light between bumper and taailgate..and flush mount signals in the rear fenders...going to put a larger cam in the 502..serpentine system...and a ton of other small things!

I agree man! Congrats! I know you have been kicking yourself ever since you sold it. I guess the truck is meant to be since it found it's way back to you.

Re: she is home again!!!!

502 wow. Got a clip or how she sounds? I love the way it looks now myself. Of course with a lil better paint job.

I can feel your excitement!

You can do a single window conversion on these trucks? (I might be asking a stupid question-but I'm recently new to the 73-87 scene....)

Re: she is home again!!!!

Thanks for all the compliments guys!!!unfortunately I don have a sound clip but will soon! My friend swapped out the aluminum intake and carb for stock stuff (trying to make mpg's better..but as we kno...did not work)...I have a 2x4 edelbrock setup in the garage and a shotgunaor cleaner that may find its way underhood when the motor is pulled for a frshen up and addition of go-fastER goodies!
