Power steering pump 64 230 inline 6

I'm puting power steering on the 64. It has a 230 inline 6. Will a set of brackets for a 75 and up 250 6 cylinder work to mount the pump?
Thanks...

yup... but the 73-up used a long water pump that would require you to use the 250's pulleys too.....

If the donor brackets are from an integral head motor they won't fit.

Re: Power steering pump 64 230 inline 6

i just did what you want to do on a early 250 i put in a m715 jeep. i used the later brackets, water pump & pulleys but like geezer says the brackets don't fit. i cut them up & left the pump bracket on the pump but fabbed a new bracket from the head to reach the pump bracket & welded them together. i will take a pik for you & post it tomorrow.

If you are having trouble finding brackets, look at 6 cylinder cars. PS was more common on those than on the trucks. As already mentioned, stay away from the integral heads.

Andy, that's not a bad setup at all.
