68 gmc 1500/c10 rear flip kit help
Hey forum...I recently aquired a 68 1500...its 1/2 ton truck with leaf springs in the rear. I have done my search here on the forum and have a few ideas as to lowering it. The cheapest way is to get the CPP perches and weld them on the underside of the axle right below the existing perches. This route seems like alot of work. I was trying to find a leaf spring flip kit but all I can find is for 73-87 c10. Will this kit work on my rear end? Any ideas out there that will save me time and money? I am building this truck on a budget but I also want a smooth ride...Thanks too all who help

What is the difference between a flip kit and welding new perches on the bottom of the housing?

Hey duece...I went ahead and called a local shop and they hooked me up with a flip kit for the leaf spring set up. It ran me just under 220. Not bad for a djm I hope. Down fall is that I will receive the parts till monday because of the holiday. Thanks for the quick reply and may you all have a happy Thanksgiving day. |
