S10 Swappers - Rear axle drop question...
Does anyone know, or have used, a set of leafs from another vehicle that will net you a 3-4 drop in the rear, on an S10 frame? I've got 2" blocks in mine and still want to come down another inch or two in the rear and 2 in the front.
I know F**d Ranger leafs sit pretty flat, not sure on the spring distance though... Anyone? Cheers, Ted.

You'll want to confirm this, but I think I read where s10 blazer springs on a pickup nets a couple inches of drop.

How about the S10 ZQ8/ Extreme springs? not sure of the total drop but I do know it is lower than the stock springs.

Thadious I used drop leafs from Summit on the truck I am building. I think they are 3 inch drop and were a little over $200.

Ted
Kansas City and St Louis both have places that will de arch or re arch leaf springs. I used to buy from one called american spring. I rebuilt and beefed up leaf springs on work vans for a local company. I know you are a bit to the north but there might be a place that could help you out.

Re: S10 Swappers - Rear axle drop question...
Was thinking the same thing myself... we have a place here that forms springs as well...
Was just hoping that there was something out there that had them stock and I could look up on my local Kijiji.... Cheers, Ted.

There is a whole write up on re-arch vs new in either Street Rodder or R&C. In the end, they said go with NEW to get the right set.

This is my '49 sitting on an s-10 frame with the factory springs without the overrides and 2" blocks. This set up lowered my rear suspension about 4".

Re: S10 Swappers - Rear axle drop question...
I have taken out the second spring from the top along with two inch blocks. I have done this to many of the S vehicles I owned and lowered. This seems to give a really nice ride.

I put 3" blocks in the back of my son's 54/S10. Sits about 8 1/2" to the running board on the rear.
