Unhappy Trim rings are a nightmare!

Tested some different sized trim rings at a local shop yesterday on my brand new wheels and was amazed and horrified at how much they scratch and gouge the wheel no matter how careful you are. Anyone have any tricks to minimize this?

I think the corvette and monte ones clipped on around the outside of the rim but half the time they ended up coming loose

Re: Trim rings are a nightmare!

Find a set you like, leave them on. They'll hide the scratches.

Re: Trim rings are a nightmare!

If they don't dig in, they'll fall off. It's just one of those things, once you ever use trim rings, that wheel is for trim rings only from then on out until you fix the gouges and repaint it again.
