3.5 year old, and the blazer
Man, for those of you with kids, involve them in working on these old cars. I let my 3.5 year old kid help on the chevelle and on the blazer, That kid can pick a blazer out of a parking lot from 1/2 mile away. It makes this hobby so much more fun to watch them try and be like you.
We put a new steering wheel on this weeked and he(my son) was so excited that he helped, he was talking about it in his sleep that night, He has a plastic toy electric impact, I loosen the bolts and he takes them off so he really thinks hes doing some good. just wanted to share, the experience is still making me smile |

My two and a half year old is the same way. He loves my trucks. He will sit in them for hours while I work outside. He screams whenever I take him out. Any old car he see's is "Daddy's cool old truck!". It is great!

Mine is the same way, at least once a week we go to a cruise night here in town. He calls the s-10 his truck cause it's small like him. And when I am in the shop I bring him out there every chance I get!

Re: 3.5 year old, and the blazer
When my oldest son was 2 or 3, he used to always try to lock the doors while playing in my truck. Luckily, the passenger side was too hard for him to push down. He would then take the single key on a key chain, (I always left the key in the ignition) and drop it down the vent on top of the dash. He always dropped it in the driver side vent. Good for me because it had an elbow just before the heater box, and all I had to do was pull the hose off, and get the key. He thought it was hilarious!
