Open header lean?
Anyone ever experience a lean code from running open headers? I have the DT headers and I am getting lean codes on both banks. I am thinking that this is from the O2 sensors being right at the end of the headers, making it see too much fresh air. What do you guys think?

Re: Open header lean?
Sounds about right. I dont have a comp on mine but i would bet that is what the prob is. If you put your hand over the end of the headers when it is running they suck in betwen pulses. That would suck in fresh air.

Re: Open header lean?
Thanks for the input. I will find out next week when I get my exhaust put on. I'm praying that's all it is.

Re: Open header lean?
Not a problem. I just remeber that from when i had a bug and i thought it would be cool to try and blow a tiny paper out exhaust and it acctually sucked it in then blew it out seconds later.

Re: Open header lean?
Definitely the problem, I have a small leak at my header flange where it meets up with the exhaust and it is throwing off my 02 readings.

Re: Open header lean?
I got my exhaust on and the lean codes went away. Hopefully others can learn from my lesson.
