Lowering Question
Hello, I would like to thank everyone that has answered questions in the past, present and future, that i've asked, Every answer has helped. Now to the question: I bought a lowering kit from CPP 3/5 drop, " do I need or have to use the c-notch" and also my truck already has disc brakes and has been changed to 5-lug wheels, :do I need or have to use the drop spindles" Any help with these questions would be greatly appreaciated. Have a great day

1) What year truck are you working on? 2) What year suspension is under the front of the truck? Drop spindles are the BEST way to lower the front. If you want it lower,... add drop springs. 5" rear drop springs don't require a c-notch. You will also need drop shocks with your 3/5 spring drop. I suggest a set of rear shock relocators and an adjustable track bar. If you don't have a sway bar up front,... that would be the 1st thing I would add.

I would use 2.5" drop spindles. If they aren't low enough add drop coils, or trim the stock coils. Rear: 5" drop coil spring Rear shock relocators Adjustable track bar Drop shocks.

Re: Lowering Question
Thanks lolife99. I bought a kit from CPP. got the shocks, coils, relocators, track bar. the truck is a 69, not sure bout the year on the front end. I hadn't gave the sway bay any thought. Since I don't need the c-notch, I can look into the front sway.. Have a good one thanks again for the info. Pete

Re: Lowering Question
NICE truck!
You can get an oem sway bar off the 3/4-ton 71-87 trucks alot cheaper than that. (these are the large 1-1/4" diameter sway bars) Upgrade the rubber bushings to polyurethane from Energy Suspension,... and your set. Most oem sway bars can be purchased used for less that $50.
