What are these two holes for?

I was wondering if any of the members ever heard of or had-have a flash light holder that is/was mounted to the inside of the glove box. Only GOD knows what the PO drilled these two holes for. I've never seen them in other glove boxes. Possibly cup holders or a flashlight holder are the two most logical things I can think of. I know they make Flash light holders, but was wondering if a Dealers offered an option gimick or gizmo was offered for the something that mounted on the Glove box door?

Mounting holes for the chrome "Chevrolet" trim piece on the front of the glove box?

Re: What are these two holes for?

The front did not have the holes. I love a good puzzle.
